Why Choose Wooden Benches?

Banks, like so many other types of furniture, come in many different materials. This includes wood, metal and plastic - not the traditional concrete bench in the park to call. If you are thinking of buying a bank, you may be looking at all these materials (except perhaps concrete, but who knows), and wondering what you had to choose - and why.

Let me straight to the point and simply recommend you buy a wooden bench. Write that down. Okay, now let me explain why I have this opinion. Whether you are buying a bench for indoor or garden use, timber is an amazing material. It is beautiful and durable, and easy to keep in good shape. Outdoor course will always be more demanding on the woodwork, but there are several types of wood that are very well suited for all types of weather abuse, especially the different types of wood from the teak family to take. In fact, let me elaborate on that big wood: As you have probably seen in many gardens, teak furniture has become very popular for outdoor use. This is because teak is naturally high in oils, which help protect the wood. This does not mean that you should never have to ensure. Teak once or twice a year should be oiled or it will get pretty boring, and then begin vulnerable to moisture and insects. But this is better than other woods such as pine, which is a little more attention needs to look like new. So as you can see, a teak bench is not a bad choice for a quiet spot in your garden. It would certainly be a nice place to enjoy the sunset with your loved ones, I think.

A wooden garden bench need not be made of natural teak. Other hardwoods like oak can also be great if you have to give them proper care. Even softer woods like pine can work perfectly - although I'd probably give my bank a good coat of paint, as it was made of pine. I can picture some very classic looking pine benches made from painted white.

For indoor use, there is absolutely no reason for anything other than wood. There is no hostile environment to worry about, so a wooden bench would not even be painted or oiled, though that would help protect the places drip coffee or ketchup. Wood is beautiful, it is natural and there are so many designs of both traditional and modern slant, that there really is something for everyone.
